ISSEVER BAHRI showing a brave and strong collection. Applying their signature knitted leather and silk pieces to new suits, blazers, and dresses. Eye catching fur coats and embroidered leather jackets create excitement among the audience at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Berlin. This diverse collection sets contrasts, one could argue that it is too wide and not thorough enough in terms of continuity. But that is not true, the whole collection carries the signature of the duo without being boring. The style and elegance are contemporary. Reminiscing the previous collections, it is astonishing to see how large the developments are despite the degree of quality from their first collection onwards. It was definitely time to show on the big catwalk, seeing this collection one can ask why not before. But what’s more important: ISSEVER BAHRI are here to stay.

This image is a bit ghostly, but somehow it is positively scary how brave and innovative some designers are. Michael Sontag is previewing his collection online!
We received the invite this morning! Fashion brand ODEUR, which was invited at the first edition of our 4FASHIONSHAKE event, presents AUTUMN / WINTER 2012 “TEMPS DE VOYAGE” collection during The Mercedes - Benz Fashion Week Berlin on 21st of January 2012. We are sure ODEUR’s catwalk will rock!
No secret anymore: Berlin Fashion Week is taking place this week. I am anticipating my participation at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Berlin and seeing some shows. I believe that the schedule has improved from last time, since IMG Event could acquire more Berlin based designers that did not present their collection on the catwalk or in the studio so far. This development promises the establishment and emphasis of Berlins own fashion identity, as confirmed by renown press last season.
I am mostly looking forward to the new collections of ISSEVER BAHRI, Hien Le, Odeur, Von Bardonitz, Sissi Goetze, Vladimir Karaleev, and JULIAANDBEN.
NOWNESS presented us this film featuring Lara Stone, the newest Mercedes Benz (SL roadster). I have no clue how we should decide for one pillion out of all friends, designers, journalists, and models or all the goody bags and selection from those collections in the small trunk, but nobody said we have to. I’ll just take one by one. Stay tuned for experiences, subjective reflections and maybe one or two surprises.
You will find more also on OZON Live since I am following my duties as representative editor.
Mercedes Benz engagement in fashion has been substantial. Sponsoring fashion weeks around the world, Berlin coming up from July sixth to ninth, upcoming and established designers are presenting their collections. This video underlines experimentation and building character of this season: Augustin Teboul, Dawid Tomaszewski, Dimitri, Don’t Shoot the Messengers, Frida Weyer, Hien Le, Hugo, Iris van Herpen, Marcel Ostertag, Michael Sontag, Mongrels in Common, Perret Schaad, Vladimir Karaleev, and a Romanian designers show among others. This fashion week is one of the most promising in my opinion, the lot of Berlin designers is greater than before and will hopefully remain, establishing Berlins fashion identity in the schedule instead of the fluctuation of recent seasons.
The keyvisual was directed by Terry Richardson and features Jessica Stam and the concept A-CLASS show car.

Recollection Quartett initiated by Mercedes-Benz and curated by ModeMuseum Antwerp. Frederik Heyman designed a contemporary installation for each of the four Mercedes and invited the four designers to complete with their designs.
Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin in January hosting their best local designers KAVIAR GAUCHE, Kilian Kerner, Lala Berlin, and Munich based Marcel Ostertag, Mongrels in Common, Anja Gockel, Blacky Dress, Odeeh, Perret Schaad, designer for tomorrows winner Parsival Cserer, and the traditional enfant terrible Patrick Mohr.
HUGO used to show in Paris, under Eyan Allans creative direction also presenting in Berlin, even looking for catwalk reporters.
ESCADA SPORT is also new to the schedule, marking the return of the German fashion house to the scene. Why Sport and not the main line is a mystery to many.
The list of international labels is speaks for Berlins ambition to developing itself to the northern European hub of concept fashion, as long as the newly showing designers present their full collections and not a partial preview like Stine Goya in January 2010. Bllack Noir, and the three Swedish designers Camilla Norrback, Diana Orving and Ida Sjöstedt represent the strong Scandinavian influence on international fashion.
Allude, C’est tout, David Tomaszewski, .DIMITRI, Eva & Bernard, Lever Couture, Maicco, Puma & Sakina M’SA. The opening show is in the honor of A.F. Vandevorst.
